Miliband: Green must face HSBC quiz
Ed Miliband has insisted Trade Minister Lord Green should face questions in parliament about "shocking" allegations of money laundering at HSBC.The Labour leader said claims of wrongdoing at the bank, where the peer was chief executive and chairman before being appointed by David Cameron in 2010, had "appalled" people.
"I think the very least he needs to do is come and answer questions about it," he said.
Mr Miliband pointed out that, although the Commons is now in recess, the House of Lords was still sitting.
He said Labour's leader in the second chamber was writing to her opposite number Lord Strathclyde insisting that Lord Green should come to face peers.
